MARKETING INTERN

SUMMARY

We are currently looking for highly creative Marketing Intern to aid in the development of marketing tools for our interior design firm. This position involves contributing knowledge and experience-based practices, while working closely with principals and project leads, as we develop commercial & residential spaces, community installations and more. The perfect candidate has a passion for small business development and is looking to gain extensive hands-on experience in a variety of related disciplines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of a project lead, the primary responsibilities will include the following:

Marketing Services Outreach for Interior Design Firm

  • Support organic social media content program development, planning and publishing - with a goal to increase followers, brand awareness, online presence, and relevancy.

  • Work with staff on content ideation, content development, and content reviews.

  • Support regular reporting of media campaigns and organic content initiatives.

  • Support regular monitoring, listening and proactive brand engagement across social platforms.

  • Assist with paid media campaign trafficking and execution.

  • Contribute to the creation of marketing tools, i.e. newsletters, brochures, flyers, media toolkit, etc.

  • Research market trends and demographics to present for analysis.

  • Create marketing tools for retail boutique, in-house events, and initiatives

  • Assist in coordination, planning, and engagement of events and initiatives

  • Participate in general office/administrative tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be actively enrolled and engaged in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or have relative experience.

  • Must have experience with social media content development in TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Stories (personal projects, such as a personal brand social media following, blog, school project, or a previous internship portfolio are sufficient for application).

  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and e-mail marketing platforms.

  • Must be flexible and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities and have an overall willingness to learn.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Graphic Design skills are a plus.

  • Must have high organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Must work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be punctual.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

This is an unpaid internship that can be used for college credit.
