we support communities
Green Owl Design is honored to partner with local artists, community members, and developers to create original works for all to enjoy.
FIGHT THE BLIGHT
Fight the Blight was all about space activation. Within a span of three weeks, we were able to successfully revamp three city blocks of neglected properties. Baltimore Avenue (Route 1), between Jefferson Avenue and Gallatin Street is now an outdoor art gallery, showcasing an assortment of murals, all of which were created by a diverse group of local artists and volunteers. As a result, we created a more safe/walkable and interesting and connected community, increased foot traffic along the corridor, helping to put Hyattsville on the Instagram map.

ARTS DISTRICT MURAL
The Arts District Hyattsville Home Owner's Association commissioned a mural to establish a sense of place. In a prominent location along the Rhode Island Avenue Trolley Trail and at the center of the Arts District outdoor amenity space, the 200+ foot soundwall presented a unique opportunity to beautify the area for homeowners and trail-goers alike, as well as celebrating the growing, all-inclusive community.
